I get up every Sunday morning at 9 to wake and go to church. My father and I go, just because it’s the only real bonding time we get out of the week. And because I don’t like for him to be alone. When I go, I don’t whine or whatever, I sometimes listen to the homily. Most of my time spent there is looking at the cute ass babies and people’s nice outfits. But I do sometimes listen to the preachings. I’ve heard them all a thousand times before, but it is interesting to hear the priest say them. Just because he’s a very good public speaker, and I admire that. Nonetheless, it’s still a public place where people try to worship and get away from the stresses of the previous week. It would be rude to do anything but be silent and well mannered during mass, so that’s what I am. Listening to your own music, dressing informally, whining, and any other forms of being disrespect are just not wanted. My dad knows of my beliefs, or lack of, and he’s okay with that, and he knows why I go with him every Sunday. But I watch and listen a bit because sometimes there are good messages to be heard. Like treating others how you want to be treated and such. As long as you’re there, you might as well listen. It’s also fun to start a debate with the priest in your head with every controversial subject he brings up. Yeah.
